In this Zip file you should find:

MONOPOLY.EXE	The Monopoly game.
MNOP-DOC.EXE	A commentary on the game. Runs separately.
MONOPOLY.ICO	A desktop icon if you want Monopoly to reside on the desktop.

You may place these files together in any handy subdirectory. The game is a DOS
program, and if you want it to run in Windows from the desktop, do the
following:

The following assumes you place your Monopoly files in a subdirectory with the
address: C:\MONOPOLY

1. Create a shortcut to MS DOS: Use the Windows Explorer to locate
"Command.com" in the \WINDOWS directory, click on it with the right mouse key
and drag it to the desktop. Change its name from "MS-DOS Prompt" to "Monopoly".

2. Right click on this icon, choose properties. Under the "Program" tab, and
under "Cmd line", enter C:\MONOPOLY\MONOPOLY.EXE

3. Under "Working", enter: C:\MONOPOLY

4. Click on "Change Icon?" and then Browse, and highlight Monopoly.Ico in the
\MONOPOLY subdirectory.

5. Under "Run" choose "Maximized", and also check "Close on Exit".

6. Now move to the "Screen" tab, and set "Full Screen" to ON.

That's it. Clicking on the Monopoly icon on your desktop will load DOS full
screen and start Monopoly. On exiting Monopoly, DOS will clear and you will
go back to the Windows desktop. You may use ALT-TAB to alternate between
the Monopoly game and anything else running in windows.

You may use this routine to put any executable DOS program onto the Desktop
with its own icon.
