Which came first, "Naciente" as the name of my boat, or as the name of my web site?
Boat first. I was looking for a unique name for a sailboat, all the interesting French (my only other spoken language) names having been chosen by others multiple times. So I opened up a Spanish dictionary, looking for a word which had "internal harmony".
Naciente was it. A word which parallels renaissance in French and nascent in English, it satisfied exactly my requirement for a word which "sang itself", and identified my new "retired" state. (Pronounced "nah-see-EN-tay") |
